Play Streamio video in BigBlueButton meeting

Streamio videos can be easily shared in BigBlueButton (BBB) meetings via an m3u8 link, which is ideal for video streaming on platforms like BBB. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for retrieving the m3u8 link from Streamio’s advanced settings.

Step 1: Log in to Streamio

Go to streamio.com and log in to your account. Navigate to your video library where the movie you want to share is located.

Step 2: Open Video Settings

Select the specific video. Click  Advanced settings (or “Avancerade inställningar” if the interface is in Swedish) to view technical details, such as the m3u8 link.

In the advanced settings, you’ll find the m3u8 link listed – copy it directly. This HLS-compatible link (.m3u8) is optimized for streaming in external players.

Start your BBB meeting. In the video player or sharing tool, paste the m3u8 link to stream the Streamio video live to participants. BBB handles HLS streams smoothly for stable playback.

Tips: Ensure your Streamio video is public or shareable. Test the link in VLC first to verify quality. This works great for teaching or webinars with video and BBB.
